Damyan is a Partner at Tsvetkova Bebov & Partners where he co-heads the Financial Services Law Group together with Nikolay Bebov.

Before joining TBP in 2015, Damyan worked with various institutions, including in a senior in-house role with Eurobank Bulgaria AD, one of Bulgaria’s major banks. During this period, Damyan provided legal assistance in many projects relevant to the external interbank funding granted to the bank by international and domestic creditors and ECAs, such as EBRD, IFC, EIB, the Bulgarian Development Bank, et cetera.

As part of Tsvetkova Bebov & Partners, Damyan took part in a variety of interbank and bank lending transactions to corporates and other institutions. Damyan has led and/or co-headed some of TBP’s recent projects as lender–side local counsel to a major South East Asian bank in relation to a contemplated granting of infrastructure financing to one of the biggest Bulgarian utility providers, borrower–side local counsel to Telus International in relation to a US$ 870,000,000 top-up financing granted under the Amended and Restated Credit Agreement and as lender–side local counsel in relation to the issuance of upstream guarantee by Bulgarian subsidiary of CEE borrower as security under an EUR 12,000,000 Revolving Credit Facility.

Damyan Leshev is a renowned Bulgarian legal expert and banking legal specialist, who is recognized by Chambers, IFLR 1000 Edition and Legal 500, among others.
